I was "that person" with a ton of opinions. I ordered the Two Mantas one for my boyfriend along with Stingray City for me, and he made a comment as he was going through picking out the cover that it would have been nice to have one page with all the different covers on them instead of clicking "View All" and then still needing to pick the pictures by category. I passed this comment on, and the extremely nice owner Gemma responded saying that she updated the website so the "View All" selection will show all the covers regardless of category. Even with the update, I was not expecting a nice note. Thanks Gemma!
I also commented asking whether they can try out black font on the cover because I didn't think the white font looked very prominent in the picture online. Gemma, again, sent a very nice email showing screenshots of her trying out different things and was like, "I think white still looks the best and recommend that." and she was right! In reality, the white font shows up really well against the background. I really appreciate the extra time and effort spent trying out my request!
When I got this dive log, I tested the test page with different oil-based pens and different drying times, and then dunking the test pages in water and touching it with greasy fingers to see how well it holds up, trying to smear it after dunking in water or with greasy fingers. I also tried to tear the page (pretty lightly, I didn't try ripping it). Guys, it absolutely holds up as advertised. Even after it gets wet, the ink does not smear (on the condition that it was already dry when it gets wet). After trying to tear the page, there is a bit of a crumple, but it smoothed right out. I'm so impressed with this dive log.
I do want to note that I feel like the ink dries slower on this special paper than on normal paper, so I would keep that in mind when writing.
I also ordered the 2 dive/page, and I think most of the layout is great. The only thing I wish for is that there was a section to put air consumption (I currently just put the beginning air pressure in the "Time In" section after the time, and the ending air pressure in the "Total Time" section after the time. There might be a way to do it if the Dive # and Date are on the same line?), but that's really the only thing that I wish would be different.
Love the huge "Comments" section! I'm able to put the dive operator and instructor I dove with, comments on whether I'd dive with them again, all the marine life I saw, and comments on how I felt about warmth and weight. Also love the world map! It's such a nice touch.
